Job Title: Principal Policy Analyst, Productive sector  (one position-Re-advertisement)

Key Responsibilities

1.     Undertaking relevant objective policy research.

Qualifications

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Economics or related social sciences from a recognized institution;
  2. Master’s Degree in Economics, or related social sciences from a recognized institution;
  3. PhD in Economics, or related social sciences from a recognized institution;
  4. Management course lasting not less than  four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
  5. Six (6) years’ relevant work experience ;
  6. Minimum of four (4) publications in peer Reviewed journals;
  7. Knowledge statistical software for data entry, analysis, extraction and reporting;
  8. Minimum of six (6) research papers including KIPPRA discussion papers, policy papers, working papers, special papers, as well as book chapters;
  9. Training in Modeling skills will be an added advantage;
  10. Computer Skills including statistical packages; and
  11. Fulfil the requirements of Chapter six (6) of the constitution.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Interpreting and implementing human resource management policies, laws, regulations, procedures and systems;
  2. Analyzing the utilization of human resources in the Institute and advising on proper deployment;

  6. Monitoring of Institute’s insurance covers;

  5. At least three (3) years’ experience in HR and administration;
  6. Experience in using computerized HR applications;

Supervisor Human Resource and Administration Officer
Position Summary / Purpose To Ensure proper implementation of strategic objective on Human resource functions; Assist in developing and implementing the Human Resource management policies in the Institute; staff recruitment, selection, induction and placement; staff deployment in conjunction with the technical departments
Key Responsibilities

1.     Implementing human resource management policies, regulations, procedures and systems by carrying out the Human Resource practices as per set standards.

2.     Assisting in carrying out human resource services in the areas of recruitment, promotion, discipline, training, development, and placement; and administering employee welfare systems.

3.     Updating human resources database by capturing all changes to data involving human resources.

4.     Ensuring cleaning services are efficiently availed by Monitoring and guiding the relevant officers in the execution of their duties.

5.     Ensuring remittance of statutory deductions for NSSF, NHIF, KRA and HELB monthly.

6.     Taking part in recruitment processes by preparing a list of advertised positions and coordinating communication with candidates on interview schedule; and

7.     Maintaining employee files and the Human Resource filing system.

Qualifications

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

(i)     Diploma in any of the following disciplines: – Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development or Industrial Relations, or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

(ii) At least three (3) years’ experience in HR and administration;

(iii)   Experience in using computerized HR applications;

(iv)   Affiliate member of relevant HR body;

(v)    Computer Skills; and

(vi)   Fulfil the requirements of Chapter six (6) of the Constitution.

Position Summary / Purpose

To Stock take and reconciliation; warehouse security, safety, maintenance and proper preservation of stores of various activities in delivering a combination of inputs, outputs/outcomes for specified requirements in accordance with the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act 2015, Public Procurement and Disposal Regulations, and other laws and policy documents that impact on procurement.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Confirming receipt of the right quantity of goods, works or services are delivered;
  2. Receiving and issue purchases to user divisions;
  3. Participating in the preparation of quotations for stores items;
  4. Filing and maintaining procurement records;
  5. Participating in the disposal of stores and equipment;
  6. Participating in the preparation of periodic and annual supply chain management reports; and
  7. Maintaining reorder levels of stores to facilitate smooth running of the Institute, by replenishing stock in good time.
Qualifications

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

(i)    Diploma in Supply Chain Management (final stage form CIPS) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

(ii)   Minimum three (3) year experience in store keeping and or inventory management;

(iii) Computer Skills; and

(iv) fulfill the requirements for Chapter six (6) of the Constitution.

Position Summary / Purpose

This job is required to coordinate the day to day provision off office support services such as cleaning and serving refreshments towards maintaining a conducive working environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

1)    Opening office building in the morning, lock up in the evening and carry out security checks;

2)    Cleaning, washing, dusting and polish offices, furniture, office equipment, windows, hallways and lavatories and wash curtains as well as replenish toiletries when necessary;

3)    Attending to spillages and leaks, collect trash and dispose garbage as appropriate;

4)    Changing light bulbs and fluorescent tubes as well as take steps;

5)    Positioning and set up tables and chairs in offices, meeting rooms and auditoriums;

6)    Packing office equipment, documents and furniture to be moved or transported from one place to another;

7)    Loading and unloading goods from motor vehicles to designated offices;

8)    Delivering and collecting messages, letters, documents, packages and other items to and from designated offices or business premises;

9)    Photocopying documents, distributing and circulating memos and materials;

10) Preparing and providing office refreshments, cleaning utensils and kitchen facilities;

11) Maintaining equipment and machinery and Ensuring they are in good working condition;

12) Storing cleaning solutions and toiletries;

13) Maintaining a log of items delivered or received on a daily basis;

14) Document binding in accordance with agreed instructions;

15) Receiving sort, record and distribute mail, general correspondence and documents; and

Qualifications
